The Harburg Foundation was created to ensure the continued influence of Yip Harburg's work and social outlook. Mission: Promote social and economic justice. Provide grants, scholarships, and other assistance to individuals and institutions in arts, education, and related areas Protect and promote the name and works of Yip Harburg Major Aims: Promote social and economic justice. Work toward world peace Work toward reducing economic and social discrimination and exploitation, racial and ethnic conflicts, and civil injustices. Advance and promote new works of American political art, especially those efforts which speak to cultural and societal issues. Preserve and enhance the works of E.Y. Harburg through the development of new works and revivals of his standard works. Preserve and enhance the works of E.Y. Harburg through the production of books, television, videos, shows, concerts, radio programs, and all artistic media.
